Boli Map Poster & Print
Boli is the seat of Boli County in eastern Heilongjiang, in the Qitaihe area. Like many towns in China's northeast, it has a practical plan. Wide main roads divide the town into large blocks of apartment buildings, public buildings and commercial streets, and the whole grid is easy to read from above.
The town sits in cultivated lowland, and the surrounding land is divided into large, regular fields. Further out, the terrain rises into wooded hills. On the map, the dense rectangle of streets gives way to a much larger pattern of farmland and scattered villages.
A Boli map poster is a portrait of an ordinary northeastern Chinese town, with an orderly centre, straight roads and open country beyond. It is not a famous place, and that is part of its appeal for people who know it. The plan is simple and clearly defined, and it fills a frame well.

Farmland patchwork
Around the town, the cultivated plain is divided into large fields. On the map they become a pattern of long straight lines and wide open spaces.
Outlying villages
Small settlements are spread across the countryside around the county town. Each is a tight cluster linked to the centre by rural roads.
