Planned grid
Huatugou's streets form a compact, regular grid, a clear sign of a town built for a specific industrial purpose rather than grown over centuries.

De kaart
Huatugou Map Poster & Print
Huatugou lies in the western Qaidam Basin, in the Haixi region of Qinghai, close to the border with Xinjiang. The basin is a high, arid plateau enclosed by mountain ranges, and the town appears on a map as a small, orderly grid of streets surrounded by open desert. Few natural features interrupt the plan, so the roads run straight out toward the horizon.
The town exists largely because of oil. It serves as a base for the Qinghai oilfield, a high-altitude petroleum operation, and much of its layout reflects that role: residential compounds, service areas and industrial sites arranged along wide roads. Service tracks lead out across the basin toward the drilling areas.
It is a remote place, reached by long highways across the plateau, and its map is correspondingly spare. A Huatugou map poster shows a town built for a purpose in a demanding landscape. It makes a meaningful keepsake for oil workers, their families and anyone who spent years in the far west of Qinghai.

Desert surroundings
Beyond the last blocks, the map opens onto the empty surface of the Qaidam Basin. This gives the poster wide, quiet margins and a strong sense of isolation.
Oilfield roads
Straight service roads lead out of town across the plateau toward the oilfield sites. They are drawn as thin lines that stretch far beyond the built-up area.
