Riverside streets
The river runs through the town and the oldest streets line up beside it, so the water forms the backbone of the whole composition.

De kaart
Jianchang Map Poster & Print
Jianchang lies in eastern Jiangxi, in hilly country where rivers have cut narrow valleys toward the lowlands of the Poyang basin. From above, the town follows its river closely. The oldest streets run parallel to the bank, and the newer districts spread across the flatter land, forming a plan that is longer than it is wide.
Beyond the built-up area the map turns quiet. Low hills rise on both sides, crossed by winding rural roads, and farmland fills the valley floors between them. At this scale the river is the main feature. Its curve sets the direction of the streets, and the bridges that cross it mark where the town connects to the other bank.
Jianchang is a historic place name in the region, and the town has long served as a local market and administrative centre for the surrounding valleys. A Jianchang map poster suits that kind of place: modest in size, clearly shaped by its river and hills, and easy to read at a glance.

River crossings
Bridges join the two banks at intervals, and each one appears as a short, strong line that ties the districts on either side together.
Hill country edge
Low wooded hills close in around the valley, and their winding roads contrast with the straighter streets of the town centre.
