La Gomera Map Poster & Print
La Gomera is a town in the department of Escuintla, on the low Pacific coastal plain of southern Guatemala. The land slopes gently from the volcanic highlands toward the ocean. On the map the town sits on almost level ground. Its streets form a regular pattern of blocks around a central area, with little to interrupt them.
The countryside around it is large-scale farmland, with sugarcane and other crops covering wide rectangular fields. Rivers from the highlands cross the plain on their way to the Pacific. Farm roads run in long straight lines between plantations, so the order of the map extends well beyond the town itself.
To the south the plain continues all the way to the Pacific shore, and this flat, open ground is the defining feature of the area. A La Gomera map poster captures that lowland geometry. It shows a compact grid, straight roads and field boundaries, with winding rivers as the only natural curves on the plain.
