Cantonment layout
The former cantonment has wide, straight roads and large plots. This orderly pattern stands out clearly against the rest of the town and gives the map its structure.

Nowgong Map Poster & Print
Nowgong lies in Chhatarpur district in northern Madhya Pradesh, within the historic region of Bundelkhand and close to the border with Uttar Pradesh. The town grew around a British military cantonment in the nineteenth century, and that origin still shapes its plan. On the map, wide straight roads and generous plots in the old cantonment area sit beside a denser market town.
The contrast between these two parts is the most interesting thing about Nowgong from above. The cantonment side is spacious and geometric, with roads meeting at clear angles. The bazaar and older residential quarters form a tighter, more irregular network. Around both, the landscape opens into fields crossed by roads leading toward Chhatarpur and other towns of the region.
A Nowgong map poster keeps both characters in view and uses the white space of the countryside to frame them. It is a subtle map rather than a dramatic one, and that is part of its appeal. It records how military planning, trade and farming have left their marks side by side on one small town.

Market quarter
The commercial centre and older neighbourhoods form a denser web of shorter streets and lanes, adding texture and visual weight to one side of the composition.
Bundelkhand countryside
Roads leave town in several directions across open farmland, their lines thinning into the pale, sparsely drawn landscape typical of this part of central India.
