Ōhara fishing port
The harbour's breakwaters and basins create sharp, angular shapes against the smoother coastline. On the poster they are among the most distinctive details along the sea edge.

Ōhara Map Poster & Print
Ōhara lies on the eastern coast of the Bōsō Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture, and since 2005 it has been part of the city of Isumi. On a map it is shaped by the Pacific. Sandy beaches, a working fishing harbour and rocky stretches line the coast, while the town spreads inland in a network of low-rise streets, small fields and wooded hills.
Ōhara Station is served by the JR Sotobō Line and is also the terminus of the Isumi Railway, a small local line that winds inland through rice fields and valleys. The rail lines give the map a clear structure, one running parallel to the coast and the other curving away from it. Around the station the commercial streets form the densest part of the layout.
The town is known for the Ōhara Hadaka Matsuri, an autumn festival in which bearers carry portable shrines into the surf. The event ties the town firmly to the shoreline, and so does the map. An Ōhara map poster captures that relationship, with the harbour and beach on one side and quiet residential streets and farmland on the other.

Isumi Railway terminus
The small local line begins here and heads inland through the hills. Its winding track contrasts with the straighter JR line and draws the eye away from the coast.
Pacific shoreline
Beaches and low rocky stretches alternate along the coast. The open ocean fills one side of the map, giving the composition a strong, simple edge.
