De kaart
Panvel Map Poster & Print
Panvel lies on the eastern edge of the Mumbai metropolitan region, in Raigad district, where the coastal lowlands meet the first slopes of the Sahyadri hills. On a map it appears as a meeting point of transport routes: railway lines converge on a busy junction, and major highways and the expressway towards Pune pass nearby. The old town forms a compact centre with narrower streets, surrounded by rapidly expanding new districts.
A river runs past the town, and creeks and wetlands lie to the west towards the harbour. In recent years Panvel has become closely linked to Navi Mumbai, with planned nodes, wide roads and new residential towers spreading across what was once open land. The new Navi Mumbai airport lies close by.
A Panvel map poster captures a town in transition: the dense old core, the long lines of rail and road, and the grid of new development pushing outwards. With hills on one side and wetlands on the other, the city has a clear setting that works well in black and white.
