Valley setting
Built-up areas follow the valley floor, so the town appears as an elongated cluster rather than a compact block. It is framed by open space where the slopes become too steep to build on.

Sijung Map Poster & Print
Sijung lies in Chagang Province, the most mountainous part of North Korea, where ridgelines rise one after another and level ground is scarce. Seen from above, a place like this reads less as a grid than as a thread. Buildings, roads and fields gather along a valley, steep slopes press in from either side, and forested high ground spreads out beyond.
Reliable detail about Sijung is limited, and this page does not pretend otherwise. What a map shows is honest enough: the course of a watercourse, the road that runs beside it, and the way built-up blocks cluster where the terrain allows. In a region shaped by mountains, those few lines carry most of the story.
A Sijung map poster draws that geography in plain black lines on white. With no colour or crowded labels, the relationship between valley, road and ridge becomes the subject. The result is a quiet, graphic portrait of a remote place, composed so that the settlement sits at the centre of its surrounding hills.

Mountain terrain
Chagang is known for its high, forested ranges. On the poster these areas stay largely open, which makes the thin lines of settlement and road stand out more sharply.
Roads along water
In mountain country, roads tend to trace rivers and streams. The result is a set of curving, roughly parallel lines that give the composition its main direction.
