Simões Filho Map Poster & Print
Simões Filho is part of the Salvador metropolitan area in Bahia, a short way inland from the Baía de Todos os Santos. The BR-324 highway, the main road from Salvador into the interior, runs straight through it. From above, the town stretches along this road, with neighbourhoods climbing onto the surrounding hills and green valleys between them.
The municipality is home to a large part of the Aratu Industrial Centre, one of the main industrial zones in Bahia. Its factories and warehouses appear on the map as broad plots with service roads. To the south-west, the land opens toward the Aratu inlet and the bay, where the water edge becomes irregular and wooded.
A Simões Filho map poster shows this mixture: the strong highway line, winding residential streets on the hills, and the large blocks of industry. It is an honest portrait of a working town on the edge of a big city, where the landscape and the everyday layout are closely linked.

Aratu industry
Factories and warehouses of the Aratu Industrial Centre occupy large plots, which form a coarse, geometric texture next to the residential areas.
Hills and valleys
Residential streets follow the ridges and slopes, bending around the green valleys and giving the map a looser, more organic pattern.
