Caldera cliff edge
The eastern shore is a steep, continuous wall facing the caldera, drawn as a clean, almost unbroken line that contrasts sharply with the more ragged outer coast.

Therasia Map Poster & Print
Therasia is the second island of the Santorini group, a fragment of the old volcanic ring that faces Thira across the flooded caldera. On a map its shape is a slim crescent, and the logic of it is clear at once: the inner edge is a sharp cliff line dropping into the caldera, while the outer side falls away in broader, gentler slopes toward the open Aegean.
Settlements sit where the geography allows. Small villages line the high ground along the caldera edge, and a few roads wind between them and down to little harbours on the shore. Compared with its neighbour, the island is sparsely built, so terraces, tracks and ravines remain visible in the drawing rather than disappearing under dense streets.
Therasia and Thira were once part of a single island, separated by the Late Bronze Age eruption that created the caldera. A Therasia map poster can be framed to include that whole story, showing the ring of Thira, Therasia and Aspronisi around the central volcanic islets of Nea and Palea Kameni.

Outer slopes
Toward the west the land drops more gently, crossed by ravines and terraced fields that appear as fine linework running down to the sea.
View across the ring
A wider frame reveals the full caldera, with the long curve of Thira opposite and the dark volcanic islets sitting in the middle of the flooded basin.

Waarom Therasia
Een kaart met betekenis
Many people know Santorini only from the cliffs of Oia and Fira; this map shows the quieter side of the same caldera. It suits anyone who took the small boat across, or who wants a volcanic landscape rendered with restraint rather than postcard colour.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a wedding or anniversary date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Digital HD files cost $9 across six print sizes, or order a printed poster shipped from a nearby partner.
