Tijucas do Sul is a municipality in the state of Paraná, south of Curitiba, near the border with Santa Catarina. The main highway connecting Curitiba with the Santa Catarina coast passes through its territory, and from above the town centre appears as a small cluster of streets within a much larger rural landscape.
The municipality lies on the high plateau near the Serra do Mar, a region of rolling hills, patches of Atlantic Forest and farmland. The Vossoroca reservoir, a dammed lake with a long, branching shoreline, lies within the municipality and is a popular spot for weekend visitors from the Curitiba region.
