Contour roads
Roads curve around the hills and along the valleys, drawing long winding lines that make the terrain visible even without contour shading.

Yunji Map Poster & Print
Yunji is a town in the Chongqing municipality of southwest China, set in the rolling hill country east of the central city. The terrain here is folded and uneven, and it shapes the map at every scale: roads rarely run straight, settlements follow the lines of valleys, and cultivated land fits itself around slopes rather than across them.
The town's streets cluster where the ground allows, forming a compact centre with lanes that spread along the contours. Outside it, the landscape breaks into small fields, scattered houses and streams, with larger roads threading between hills to connect neighbouring towns. It is a quiet, rural composition, typical of the countryside around China's largest municipality.
A Yunji map poster is above all a family object, for people who grew up here and now live in Chongqing's city districts, elsewhere in China or abroad. The winding lines look especially delicate in Paper, while Noir turns the curving roads into bright threads against a dark, hilly ground.

Compact centre
The town's buildings concentrate on the most level ground, forming a small, dense core before dispersing into the countryside around it.
Valley fields
Farmland fills the valley floors and lower slopes in small, irregular plots, giving the edges of the map a fine, broken texture.
