Casas Adobes is an unincorporated community in Pima County, on the northern side of the Tucson basin. The Santa Catalina Mountains rise to the northeast, and on a map the community sits where the city grid begins to loosen into curving foothill streets and cul-de-sacs.
Dry washes, sandy channels that fill only after storms, run through the area, and the streets bend around them, while major roads such as Oracle Road cross in long, straight lines.
