Ishaka is a town in western Uganda, part of the Bushenyi-Ishaka urban area in a region of rolling hills, farms and tea. It sits on the main road through the southwest, and it is known as the home of Kampala International University's western campus and its teaching hospital.
The street pattern follows the terrain. The main road curves through town, and smaller streets branch off along ridges and down into valleys. The university campus forms its own cluster of buildings and internal roads, a distinct shape on the map, while farmland and green hillsides fill the land in between.
