Nyamuswa lies in Tanzania's Mara region, in the rolling country between the eastern shore of Lake Victoria and the plains of the Serengeti. On the map it looks like a loose cluster of roads and tracks rather than a dense town. Homesteads, small farms and footpaths spread gradually into the surrounding land.
