Sodhri is in the Punjab plain of Pakistan, in the fertile country between Gujranwala and Sialkot. The land is almost perfectly flat, and this shows clearly from above. Lanes spread out from an older, denser core, and the settlement fades gradually into a patchwork of cultivated fields.
This part of Punjab depends on canal irrigation, and water channels often shape the local geography as much as the roads. Little is written about Sodhri in English sources, so the map is the best way to see it: an ordinary, closely built town in one of the most intensively farmed landscapes in South Asia.
