Troitskaya is a large rural locality in Ingushetia, in the North Caucasus, set on the plain of the Sunzha river. It began as a Cossack stanitsa, and its map still reflects that origin. Long, straight streets run in parallel, crossed by shorter lanes, and each block is lined with houses and deep garden plots.
The settlement lies close to Karabulak and within reach of the region's larger towns, linked by main roads across the valley. To the south the ground rises toward the foothills of the Greater Caucasus, and the Sunzha's course, with its fringe of trees, runs nearby.
