Tullahoma is in Middle Tennessee, on the Highland Rim between Nashville and Chattanooga. It grew up in the nineteenth century along the Nashville and Chattanooga Railroad, and on a map the rail line still runs straight through the middle of town. The downtown grid is aligned with the tracks. Newer neighbourhoods, schools and shopping areas spread out on the level ground around it.
East of town is Arnold Air Force Base, home to the Arnold Engineering Development Complex, one of the largest aerospace testing facilities in the world. Nearby is the University of Tennessee Space Institute. The George Dickel distillery is in Cascade Hollow, a short distance north of the city. Woodland and lakes surround this part of the map.

Arnold Air Force Base
The aerospace testing complex lies east of town, surrounded by forest and water. Its large, open grounds contrast with the tight residential streets of Tullahoma.
