Kilkenny Map Poster & Print
Kilkenny sits on the River Nore in the southeast of Ireland and has kept its medieval layout unusually well. From above, the old town runs roughly north to south along a main street, with the castle standing above the river at one end and St Canice's Cathedral, with its round tower, at the other. Locals call the walk between them the Medieval Mile.
Narrow lanes, known as slips, drop from the main streets down towards the water, and bridges cross the Nore to the eastern side of town. Around the old core, later housing spreads outward, while the castle's large park keeps an open green space right next to the centre. The city's long brewing tradition is part of how many people know its name.
A Kilkenny map poster shows a city whose outline still follows its medieval plan. The river supplies a flowing line, the castle grounds a calm open area, and the dense old streets plenty of detail. It suits anyone with Irish roots, a memory of a visit, or a connection to the city's festivals and hurling tradition.

Castle and park
Kilkenny Castle sits above the river beside its large parkland, which shows on the map as a broad open space at the southern end of the medieval core.
The Medieval Mile
The historic streets between the castle and St Canice's Cathedral form a dense spine of lanes and slips, the most detailed part of the whole composition.

De ce Kilkenny
O hartă care înseamnă ceva
Kilkenny is a city people hold on to, whether they were born here, studied nearby, or traced family back to the county. Its compact medieval plan makes a print that feels personal and recognisable, even without a single label.
Give it your own title, a subtitle such as a family name or wedding date, and a coordinates line, then choose one of five styles. Paper suits the medieval streets. Digital files cost $9, and printed posters ship from partners worldwide.
