Railway line
The railway runs across the area along the valley. It is a long, steady line that anchors the looser street pattern around it.

Kokrajhar Map Poster & Print
Kokrajhar lies on the northern plains of the Brahmaputra valley in western Assam, a short distance south of the Himalayan foothills along the Bhutan border. It is the headquarters of the Bodoland Territorial Region. From above, the town is a low-density spread of streets among trees, paddy fields and small watercourses.
The layout is relaxed and irregular. A few main roads carry traffic through the centre, and the railway line crosses the area on its way along the valley. Around them, lanes fan out into neighbourhoods broken up by ponds, groves and open fields. Streams draining south from the hills cut across the land.
A Kokrajhar map poster keeps the airy quality of this landscape. In monochrome, the roads and rail line give structure, while the open spaces between them let the paper breathe. It is a map of a town that still has plenty of room, and of the hills just out of frame.

Stream crossings
Small rivers and streams flow south from the foothills. Where roads meet them, short bridges add fine detail to the map.
Open neighbourhoods
Houses mix with trees, ponds and fields. That leaves generous white space between clusters of streets.
