Krasnoufimsk Map Poster & Print
Krasnoufimsk is in the southwest of Sverdlovsk Oblast, on the Ufa River in the foothills of the Ural Mountains. It was founded in 1736 as a fortress on this river. On a map, the river curves through the town, and the streets rise from its banks toward higher ground on either side.
The older part of town sits closest to the water, while newer districts spread farther up the slopes. A railway line passes through, linking Krasnoufimsk with Yekaterinburg and the rest of the Urals. Beyond the edge of town, the land opens into forests and fields, marking the change from the town to the rolling Ural landscape.
A Krasnoufimsk map poster shows how a river town fits into hilly ground. The curve of the Ufa River, the streets climbing the slopes and the railway make a varied, detailed composition. For anyone from here, it is a clear reminder of the town between the river and the hills, and a quiet piece for a home.
