St. Lawrence shore
The river runs along the entire north-west side of the city. It is wide and scattered with islands, and it frames Longueuil against the skyline of Montreal on the opposite bank.

Longueuil Map Poster & Print
Longueuil lines the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, directly across from Montreal. On the map the river is a wide band along the north-west edge, broken by islands, with the Jacques Cartier Bridge reaching over from the city's northern end. A shoreline highway follows the bank, and behind it the streets fan out across the flat plain toward the east.
The oldest part, Vieux-Longueuil, keeps the compact, slightly irregular street pattern of a French colonial village, centred on its large stone church. Around it spread the far more regular layouts of the twentieth century: curving suburban crescents, long arterial boulevards and the rectangular blocks of commercial and industrial zones. A metro terminus near the river links the city directly to downtown Montreal.
The city also includes the former municipalities of Saint-Hubert and Greenfield Park. To the south, the runways of Saint-Hubert airport form a sharp geometric figure among the houses. A Longueuil map poster shows these layers together, from the old riverside village to the planned neighbourhoods inland, all oriented toward the water and the island city opposite.

Vieux-Longueuil
The historic core near the water keeps its older, finer street pattern. A stone cathedral stands at its heart, among short streets that predate the suburban grids around them.
Saint-Hubert runways
In the southern part of the city, the long runways of Saint-Hubert airport stand out as crisp straight lines among the residential streets.

De ce Longueuil
O hartă care înseamnă ceva
Many people in Longueuil cross the river every day, and a map that shows both the south shore and a sliver of Montreal captures that rhythm well. It makes a thoughtful gift for a first home in Saint-Hubert or a family house in the old town.
Write your own title and subtitle, perhaps a street name or the year you moved in, and adjust the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper, with or without a wooden frame.
