Nong Khaem Map Poster & Print
Nong Khaem is one of Bangkok's western districts, on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River and close to the city's boundary with Samut Sakhon. From above it is a flat landscape where waterways and roads run in long, parallel lines, a pattern inherited from the canals that once served the orchards and rice fields of the area.
Phet Kasem Road, one of the main routes leading west out of Bangkok, runs through the district and gathers much of its commercial life. Behind it, narrow sois branch off at right angles into housing estates, markets and temples, while khlongs continue to cut across the grid, some still lined with houses facing the water.
A Nong Khaem map poster shows a side of Bangkok that visitors rarely see: not the dense old centre, but the city's expanding western edge, where canals, estates and main roads meet. Printed in black and white, the repeated lines of sois and waterways build a calm, almost textile-like rhythm across the sheet.

Khlong network
Canals run in long straight lines across the district, remnants of an agricultural water system that still divides neighbourhoods and sets the direction of local streets.
Soi pattern
Narrow side streets branch off the main roads like the teeth of a comb, creating a repeating pattern of dead-end lanes and housing estates.
