The Nile bend
The river sweeps past the town in a wide arc, with islands and sandbanks in its channel. It is the defining line of the poster, setting the orientation of every street around it.

Qina Map Poster & Print
Qina lies on the east bank of the Nile in Upper Egypt, close to the point where the river makes its great bend to the east before turning south again. On the map the town stretches along the water, with the river forming a broad, confident curve along one side and a narrow strip of cultivated land giving way quickly to desert on the other.
Irrigation canals and farm tracks run parallel to the river, dividing the valley into long, thin fields that appear on a poster as fine ruled lines. The town centre is dense, with narrow streets clustered around markets and mosques, while newer districts, a university and main roads extend the built area inland toward the desert edge.
Across the river lies Dendera, whose temple of Hathor is one of the best-preserved temple complexes in Egypt. Qina itself has long been known for its pottery, especially porous clay water jars. A Qina map poster places the town within that narrow ribbon of green: a city whose entire shape is dictated by the Nile.

Irrigation grid
Canals and field boundaries divide the floodplain into narrow parcels running along the valley, a fine linear texture that contrasts with the irregular pattern of the old town.
Desert edge
Only a short distance from the river, the fields stop and open desert begins. On the map this appears as a sudden transition from detail to blank space, framing Qina with striking clarity.

De ce Qina
O hartă care înseamnă ceva
A poster of Qina is often about origins: a hometown in Upper Egypt, a family that later moved to Cairo or abroad, or a journey along the Nile to Dendera. The river gives the composition a strong, natural balance.
Add a family name, a date or a short dedication to the title and subtitle, and set the coordinates line as you like. Choose one of five styles: Sand brings a warmth that echoes the desert, and Classic black and white gives the sharpest river outline.
