Pacific coastline
Cliffs and coves form the long southern and western edge of the city. On the poster they make an irregular, strongly defined boundary against the ocean.

Rancho Palos Verdes Map Poster & Print
Rancho Palos Verdes covers much of the southern side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, which rises from the Los Angeles basin into the Pacific. It has almost no street grid. Roads curve along ridgelines and canyon edges, and cul-de-sacs branch off them like leaves. Along the southern edge, Palos Verdes Drive traces the coastline above the cliffs.
The coast includes the Point Vicente Lighthouse and the Wayfarers Chapel, a glass church designed by Lloyd Wright. It also includes the Portuguese Bend area, where the land has been slowly sliding toward the sea for decades. The movement has repeatedly damaged the roads that cross it and made the area one of California's best-known active landslides.
A Rancho Palos Verdes map poster captures a place shaped by terrain rather than planning grids. The coastline is irregular, the roads loop gently, and the large open spaces of preserves and canyons show as white. The result is one of the more sculptural map compositions in Southern California.

Palos Verdes Drive
The coastal road follows the shoreline around the peninsula. Its smooth curve ties together the lighthouse, the chapel and the landslide zone.
Canyon cul-de-sacs
Residential streets branch into short dead ends among the ridges. This gives the map a fine, branching texture very different from the flat grids of Los Angeles.

De ce Rancho Palos Verdes
O hartă care înseamnă ceva
It is a natural choice for people who live on the peninsula or who have driven that coast road at sunset. The shape is recognisable at a glance, and the lack of a grid makes it look unusually graceful on a wall.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with an address or the year you moved in, and adjust the coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
