Steelworks footprint
The former ZISCO site covers a broad area next to the town, and its large blocks and service roads contrast with the finer residential streets nearby.

Redcliff Map Poster & Print
Redcliff sits in Zimbabwe's Midlands Province, just south of Kwekwe, on the high central plateau that runs through the middle of the country. The town grew around iron and steel. The ore came from nearby hills, and the reddish colour of the ground is said to have given the place its name. Housing areas, roads and industrial land make up most of its outline.
A Redcliff map poster shows the town's two halves: a residential street pattern of loops and short blocks, and the large, simple shapes of the old industrial site. The works of the Zimbabwe Iron and Steel Company, known as ZISCO, once made this one of the main steel centres in southern Africa, and their scale still shapes the map.
Beyond the town the plateau is fairly open, crossed by roads and a railway that link Redcliff to Kwekwe and to the wider Midlands. That leaves the built-up area clearly framed on paper. It is a working town rather than a scenic one, and the poster shows it honestly, with industry and neighbourhoods side by side.

Residential loops
Housing areas are laid out in curving streets and closes rather than a strict grid, which gives the neighbourhoods a soft, rounded texture on the map.
Link to Kwekwe
Road and rail run north toward neighbouring Kwekwe, tying Redcliff into the Midlands mining and industrial belt on the central plateau.

De ce Redcliff
O hartă care înseamnă ceva
Redcliff means a lot to the many families whose lives were tied to the steelworks, whether they still live there or have moved abroad. A map of the town keeps the streets and the works in one frame, a record of where a working life happened.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates line yourself, perhaps with a surname or the years someone worked there, and choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
