Tavares Map Poster & Print
Tavares is defined by water. The town lies along the northern shore of Lake Dora, with Lake Eustis close by, both part of the Harris Chain of Lakes in central Florida. On a map the lakes dominate the frame, broad pale shapes whose irregular shorelines are traced by residential streets, docks and small inlets.
Linking the two lakes is the Dora Canal, a short, winding channel through low wetland. Inland, the street pattern is a loose grid of downtown blocks giving way to curving subdivisions and cul-de-sacs, typical of central Florida growth. Highways and county roads thread between the lakes, following the dry ground and bending wherever the water pushes in.
As the seat of Lake County, Tavares has a compact civic downtown near the waterfront, and it calls itself America's Seaplane City, with a seaplane base on Lake Dora. A Tavares map poster shows a place where the shoreline matters as much as the streets, and where much of the drawing is made up of open water.

Dora Canal
A narrow, meandering channel connects Lake Dora to Lake Eustis near the town. On the map it appears as a thin thread of water winding through wetland.
Chain of lakes
Tavares belongs to the Harris Chain, and wider frames reveal several neighbouring lakes linked together, turning the poster into a study of water and land.

De ce Tavares
O hartă care înseamnă ceva
For anyone who has fished, boated or simply lived beside these lakes, the map is recognisable at a glance. The shorelines carry the memory, and the large areas of water give the print a calm, open balance on the wall.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, or add a date such as a move or a wedding. The poster comes in five styles, including the deep tones of Noir and the drafting look of Blueprint, as a $9 digital download or a printed poster.
