Tiassalé Map Poster & Print
Tiassalé lies on the Bandama River in the south of Ivory Coast, north-west of Abidjan. The river is the most prominent feature of the map. Its wide channel passes beside the town and shapes the layout of the streets. Around it the land is green and gently rolling, divided among plantations, fields and patches of forest.
The town is the seat of a department and a local centre for agriculture, with cash and food crops grown across the surrounding countryside. A bridge carries the road across the Bandama here, which makes Tiassalé a natural crossing point on routes between the coast and the interior of the country, and a stopping place for travellers.
A Tiassalé map poster balances a compact built area with one strong natural line. The river curves past the town and gives the composition movement, while the streets form a modest network on the bank. The surroundings are drawn lightly, which keeps the focus on the relationship between the town and the water.

River crossing
The road bridge over the Bandama is a clear structural point in the layout, where the main route meets the water and the town gathers around it.
Green surroundings
Plantations and farmland surround the town with a pattern of tracks and scattered settlements, a quiet background against which the streets and the river stand out.
