Chaumu Map Poster & Print
Chaumu, often spelled Chomu, lies in Jaipur district of Rajasthan, a short distance northwest of the state capital. From above, the historic town is a dense, irregular core that grew around its fort and palace, with narrow lanes winding between houses, temples and markets.
The Chomu Palace, once the seat of a noble family of the region, still stands and now operates as a heritage hotel. Outside the old centre, newer neighbourhoods and roads extend over the dry, flat country, and the main highway toward Jaipur and Sikar passes through the town.
