Flörsheim am Main lies on the north bank of the Main, roughly halfway between Frankfurt and the river's meeting with the Rhine at Mainz. The old town sits close to the water, and the baroque church of St. Gallus stands near the riverbank, a familiar sight from the opposite shore.
