Fenggang Map Poster & Print
Fenggang lies in the eastern part of Jiangxi province in south-eastern China, in a landscape of low hills, river valleys and cultivated land. On a map, a place like this reads as a compact core of streets set on flatter ground, with roads leading out along the valleys and the surrounding terrain broken into irregular field patterns and green, forested rises.
Much of this part of Jiangxi is agricultural, with rice paddies, ponds and small streams filling the low ground between hills. Towns here grow along roads and waterways, and their plans tend to be practical rather than formal, with a denser older centre and newer blocks extending outward as the settlement expands.
A Fenggang map poster captures this quiet, local scale: the knot of central streets, the routes running off toward neighbouring towns, and the open country beyond. In monochrome, the fine texture of fields and waterways gives the design a calm, detailed look that rewards being viewed up close rather than only from across a room.
