Contour-led roads
Roads and streets follow the shape of the hills, curving around slopes and along valleys, which gives the map a flowing, irregular line work.

Mapa
Erlang Map Poster
Erlang lies in the Chongqing municipality, in the rolling hill country of the eastern Sichuan Basin. From above, the landscape is anything but flat: low hills, valleys and terraced slopes shape where roads can go and where houses can be built, and the town's streets bend to follow the contours rather than cutting a straight grid.
The built-up area is compact, clustered along main roads and across the more level ground, with farmland, ponds and scattered hamlets filling the countryside around it. Winding rural roads connect the town to its neighbours across the hills.
An Erlang map poster captures that terrain-driven pattern in black and white. The curving roads and irregular blocks give it a softer, more organic look than a planned city, and it makes a fitting keepsake for families with roots in this part of Chongqing.

Compact centre
Houses and shops cluster tightly along the main routes and on the flatter ground, forming a dense core that stands out against the open countryside.
Hill farmland
Around the town, terraced fields, ponds and small villages fill the landscape, so the map's edges are finely textured rather than empty.
