Contour streets
Roads follow the shape of the hills, bending and folding back on themselves, so the street pattern reads almost like a topographic drawing.

Mapa
Fuxing Map Poster & Print
Fuxing lies within Chongqing Municipality, in the hilly country north of the main urban area. Like much of the region, it is shaped by topography: streets climb, switch back and follow the contours of the land, and buildings cluster on the flatter ground between ridges. The result is a map with no strict grid, full of curves, dead ends and irregular blocks.
Around the town, the landscape is a patchwork of terraced fields, orchards and small valleys, crossed by winding roads. As Chongqing has grown, new roads and developments have reached further into these hills, so the edges of places like Fuxing often show a mix of older lanes and broader modern streets. It is a map that records both the terrain and the city's expansion.
A Fuxing map poster is a personal piece for people with family here or who have lived in this part of Chongqing. In black and white, the winding streets and irregular blocks form an expressive, almost hand-drawn composition, very different from the rigid grids of many other cities, and it rewards a closer look.

Terraced edges
Farmland on stepped slopes surrounds the town, leaving open areas crossed by narrow tracks that give the outer map a delicate texture.
Old and new
Narrow older lanes sit beside wider, newer roads, a contrast in line weight that reflects how the area has grown alongside Chongqing.
