Mapa
Tieshan Map Poster
Tieshan is a town in Chongqing, in the rolling country at the eastern edge of the Sichuan Basin. The terrain here is rarely flat. Low hills, small valleys and terraced fields cover the land, and settlements fit themselves into whatever level ground they can find.
From above, the town's streets curve with the contours instead of forming a grid. Roads follow valley floors and ridge lines, and buildings gather where the land levels out. Around the town, farmland breaks into many small irregular plots shaped by the slopes.
A Tieshan map poster captures this irregular, terrain-led pattern. Winding roads, a compact centre and a patchwork of fields give the page a soft, organic texture. It is a picture of an ordinary Chinese hill town, drawn without decoration.
