Beersel Map Poster & Print
Beersel is a municipality in Flemish Brabant just south of Brussels. It is made up of several villages, including Beersel itself, Lot, Dworp, Huizingen and Alsemberg. On a map these cores appear as separate clusters divided by woodland, fields and valleys. The Zenne valley runs along the western side, and the capital's southern suburbs press in from the north.
The terrain is more varied than in much of Flanders. Streets rise and fall over the edge of the Brabant plateau, and patches of forest break up the residential areas. Near the village of Beersel stands its moated medieval castle, a brick fortress whose towers are reflected in the surrounding water. It is one of the best-preserved castles of its kind in Belgium.
Beersel is also closely tied to lambic, the spontaneously fermented beer of the Zenne valley, and local breweries and blenders keep that tradition going. A Beersel map poster captures village squares, green slopes and quiet roads at the edge of a capital, where Brussels gives way to the Pajottenland countryside.

Zenne valley
Along the western side the river valley carries road and rail. It forms a lower corridor, with the villages of Lot and Huizingen spreading out on either side.
Woods between villages
Wooded patches and open fields separate the municipality's village cores, so the poster shows distinct clusters instead of one continuous stretch of suburbs.

Kwa nini Beersel
Ramani yenye maana
Beersel suits people who like having countryside on the doorstep of Brussels, such as commuters, beer enthusiasts and walkers who know the castle paths. The map works as a portrait of several villages at once, and it gives a hallway or kitchen wall a quiet, local character.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with the name of your own village within the municipality, and choose among five styles, from Noir to Paper. Printed posters come on matte paper with an optional wooden frame, and the $9 HD files include a print-ready PDF for every size.
