The rail corridor
The Nacala line runs through the middle of town, a single confident stroke that anchors the whole composition and explains why Cuamba grew where it did.

Cuamba Map Poster & Print
Cuamba grew out of the railway. From above, the line that carries freight between the Indian Ocean coast and Malawi runs straight through town, and the streets fall into place on either side of it. There is a modest core near the station, then looser blocks and footpaths that thin out into farmland. It is one of the main towns of Niassa, Mozambique's largest and most sparsely populated province.
The landscape around it is unusual. Bare granite inselbergs rise abruptly from the plain, and on a map they show as islands of empty space that roads bend to avoid. Between them run tracks toward smaller villages, along with stream beds and field edges. The town's outline reads less like a grid and more like a settlement shaped by rock and rail.
A Cuamba map poster keeps that plain geometry: the long rail line, the station quarter, the roads spreading out into the province, and the open ground around everything. Drawn in fine black lines on white, it makes a quiet, spacious composition. The town is clearly there but never crowds the frame, and the empty space around it matters as much as the streets.

Granite inselbergs
Smooth rock domes rise from the surrounding plain. On the map they appear as blank shapes that roads and paths curve around.
Open edges
Beyond the central blocks the street pattern loosens into tracks and field boundaries, which gives the poster a soft, fading edge instead of a hard city limit.
