Eslöv is a town in Skåne in southern Sweden, set in one of the most fertile agricultural landscapes in the country. Its growth came with the railway: in the nineteenth century it became a junction on the Southern Main Line, and the town expanded around the station. On a map the tracks run straight through the centre, with the streets laid out in orderly blocks on either side.
The street pattern is regular and clear, with a main axis along the railway and residential areas spreading out toward the fields.
