Hopa Map Poster & Print
Hopa lies on the eastern Black Sea coast of Turkey, in Artvin province, only a short distance from the Georgian border at Sarp. From above the town is a narrow strip. Its streets fill the small area of flat land along the shore and at the mouths of the valleys, while steep, heavily vegetated slopes rise right behind it.
The coastal highway runs along the waterfront, carrying traffic toward the border, and the port adds straight quays and breakwaters to the shoreline. The hills around Hopa are covered with tea plantations, part of the tea-growing region that extends along this humid coast.
A Hopa map poster captures a town shaped by the meeting of mountains and sea. The coastline forms a clean edge, the streets gather in a tight band, and roads climb inland up the valleys. With so little flat ground, the map's composition is strongly horizontal and very distinctive.

Port and breakwaters
Hopa's harbour adds straight quays and breakwaters to the shore. Their angular shapes stand out against the smooth line of the coast.
Valley roads
Roads leave the coast and climb inland along narrow river valleys. They branch into the hills and give the map depth beyond the shoreline.
