Historic centre
A small knot of close, irregular streets marks the old town, clearly distinct from the straighter residential blocks added around it over the last century.

Palagiano Map Poster & Print
Palagiano sits in the province of Taranto, on the gently sloping plain that runs down toward the Ionian coast. The map shows a compact historic centre of short, irregular streets, with newer blocks laid out more regularly around it and a scatter of country roads leading off into the fields.
Agriculture shapes almost everything beyond the town's edge. The surrounding plain is known for citrus growing, especially clementines, and the groves divide the land into neat rectangles bordered by lanes and irrigation lines. Further inland, the landscape of the Apulian ravines begins to cut into the terrain.
A Palagiano map poster reduces this to its essentials: a dense core, a looser ring of later growth and a wide field of tidy agricultural parcels. In black and white the orchards read almost like a textile pattern, giving the sheet a quiet, rhythmic quality.

Roads to the coast
Country roads run from the town toward the Gulf of Taranto, their long straight lines crossing the agricultural plain in a clear, readable pattern.
