Sek’ot’a is the main town of the Wag Hemra zone in Ethiopia's Amhara region. It sits in rugged highland country, and the town's layout responds to the terrain: roads follow contours and ridges, and neighbourhoods spread across uneven ground rather than in a regular grid.
