Székesfehérvár Map Poster & Print
Székesfehérvár lies between Budapest and Lake Balaton, on flat land in the Fejér region. From above, the historic centre is a small, nearly oval core of baroque streets and squares, surrounded by a ring of wider roads that follow the line of the old town walls. Housing estates and industrial areas spread out beyond it in all directions.
For several centuries this was where Hungarian kings were crowned and buried. The remains of the medieval royal basilica are preserved as a ruin garden in the centre. Today the city is an important industrial and regional centre, and Lake Velence lies a short distance to the east.
A Székesfehérvár map poster shows the city's layered structure clearly. The dense, irregular medieval and baroque core forms the centre, the boulevards make a clean ring around it, and larger modern blocks stretch out to the edges of the sheet.

Baroque core
Inside the ring, narrow streets and small squares keep an older, irregular plan. It is the most finely detailed part of the map.
Royal ruin garden
The site of the medieval coronation basilica sits within the centre as an open space, marking the city's historic royal role.
