Te mapa
Ain El Aouda lies in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, a short distance south of the Moroccan capital, on gently rolling land in the Rabat hinterland. From above, the town has a compact centre where the main roads meet, surrounded by newer residential districts. Many of these are laid out in regular blocks, and open farmland and scrub begin beyond them.
The town has grown quickly in recent decades, partly because of its proximity to Rabat and the new housing projects this has attracted. The resulting street pattern is a mix of older, irregular lanes near the centre and planned, geometric neighbourhoods at the edges. The roads toward the capital are the town's main links.
An Ain El Aouda map poster captures a town in transition, with its older core, its grids of new housing and the countryside that still surrounds it. In black and white, the contrast between the dense centre and the more open outskirts is clear. It is a faithful portrait of a place that is still taking shape.
The town's centre forms around the junction of its main roads. It is the densest part of the map, with irregular blocks and narrow streets.
Newer residential areas are laid out in regular blocks, and they create orderly, geometric patches that contrast with the older lanes.
The main route north to the capital is the town's most important link. On the poster, it appears as a strong line leading out of the frame.
