Te mapa
Ajiki lies in the town of Sakae in northern Chiba Prefecture, on the lowlands near the Tone River, and is served by the JR Narita Line. From above, the area is a patchwork. Older houses line the station area and main roads, newer residential blocks sit on slightly higher ground, and flat rectangles of rice paddy fill the lower land between them.
The Tone River, one of the longest rivers in Japan, forms the prefectural boundary with Ibaraki to the north, and the lowland beside it is laced with drainage and irrigation channels. Narita, with its temple and international airport, lies a short distance to the southeast, so the quiet fields here sit within easy reach of one of the country's main gateways.
An Ajiki map poster captures the contrast between built and cultivated land. The paddy fields form a fine grid of their own, the railway runs as a clean line through the settlement, and the river's broad course marks the northern edge. It is a calm, balanced composition that suits a simple interior.
The wide river and its flat floodplain mark the northern edge of the map, with embankments and channels drawn as long parallel lines.
Rectangular rice fields fill the low ground in a precise, repeating pattern that forms a second grid beside the streets.
Streets gather near the railway station, where the older settlement is densest, before thinning out toward the paddies and the higher ground.

Koteā ko Ajiki
Ajiki is the kind of place people remember for daily routines: the train to work, the walk past the paddies, a childhood home. A map of those streets makes a thoughtful gift for family or a reminder of a first home in Japan.
