Te mapa
Almassora lies in the province of Castellón, immediately south of Castelló de la Plana and separated from it by the Millars River. The historic centre sits on slightly higher ground, a compact knot of narrow streets. Around it, newer districts spread out in more regular blocks, and the municipality stretches east towards the sea, ending at a stretch of flat Mediterranean coast.
The Millars is the strongest natural line on the map. Its wide, often dry bed runs along the town's northern side, crossed by road and rail bridges. Past the built-up area, the plain is divided into small rectangular plots, traditionally orange groves, fed by irrigation channels that go back centuries. Industrial estates connected to the region's ceramic tile industry fill several areas nearby.
An Almassora map poster shows the three parts of the town together: the old core, the irrigated huerta around it, and the separate coastal strip by the sea. It is a clear, legible layout that reflects how many small Valencian towns have grown, from farming centre to industrial and residential town.
The broad bed of the river runs along the northern edge, separating Almassora from Castelló and crossed by several bridges.
Small, regular fields and irrigation channels surround the town, creating a fine grid pattern typical of the Valencian huerta.
The municipality reaches the Mediterranean in a straight, flat coastline, lined with a separate beach district apart from the historic centre.
