Te mapa
Ambovombe is the main town of the Androy region, in the arid far south of Madagascar. From above, it looks like a loose grid of streets and compounds set among open land, with roads heading out toward the rest of the island and the southern coast. There are no large rivers or lakes here, so the street pattern is the whole picture.
Androy is home to the Antandroy people, and the region is known for its dry climate and spiny forest. Water is scarce and droughts come often, which shapes how the town and its surroundings are laid out. Around Ambovombe, the built-up area fades into scattered settlements and tracks rather than ending at a sharp line.
A minimalist Ambovombe map poster turns that simple layout into a quiet, graphic image. Because the terrain is so flat and the landscape so sparse, the lines of the roads and blocks show up clearly. Main routes run out of the centre like spokes, and the surrounding area stays mostly empty, a fair picture of a town that serves a large and thinly settled region.
Ambovombe is the administrative centre of Androy, and roads from across the south meet here. On the map, they run out of the centre in several directions across open land.
Blocks in the centre are fairly regular but widely spaced. The pattern gets looser toward the edges, where compounds and tracks take over from streets.
The town sits in one of Madagascar's driest regions. With no large water features nearby, the poster shows only streets and blocks, which keeps the design spare.

Koteā ko Ambovombe
For people from Androy, or anyone who has worked or travelled in southern Madagascar, this map is a plain reminder of a place that rarely shows up on posters. It works well in a study or hallway where a simple image suits the room.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with a year or a project name. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
