Te mapa
Antimilos lies in the Cyclades a short distance northwest of Milos, and its name simply describes that position, the island opposite Milos. It is small and uninhabited, the worn remnant of an old volcano, and on a map it appears as a compact, roughly rounded mass with a steep coast and no settlements or roads of any kind.
The island is known for its population of wild goats, found here and nowhere else in quite this form, and it is protected as a nature area. Access is limited and few people ever set foot on it; most see it only as a dark silhouette from boats sailing to or from Milos.
An Antimilos map poster is minimal in the purest sense: a single coastline set within open water, perhaps with the edge of Milos at the frame. There are no streets to fill it in, which makes the shape of the coast itself, every small cove and cape, the entire subject of the picture.
The island rises steeply from the sea as one rounded block, its outline shaped by old volcanic rock worn down over time by wind and water.
With no harbour, road or building, the shoreline is drawn as one continuous line, a rare chance to see an island with nothing on it at all.
Open water separates Antimilos from its larger neighbour to the southeast, whose coast can be brought into a wider composition at the edge of the frame.

Koteā ko Antimilos
Antimilos appeals to people who love the Cyclades beyond the familiar harbours, and to anyone who finds beauty in an empty shape. It is a thoughtful choice for a sailor who has passed it at dawn or a naturalist interested in its goats.
Give the poster a title, a subtitle and a date or the coordinates line, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. With so little drawn, the style carries the mood: Blueprint feels technical, Paper feels quiet and warm.
