Te mapa
Ar Rayāyinah lies in the Nafusa Mountains of northwestern Libya, in the Jabal al Gharbi region. This is an upland area of plateaus and escarpments that rise above the coastal plain of Jefara. Towns here have historically clustered on the high ground, and olive trees and dry farming shape the land around them.
From above, the town appears as loose clusters of streets and buildings spread across the plateau, linked by roads that follow the land's natural lines. Wadis cut into the terrain, and the edge of the escarpment creates a clear boundary where the settled upland falls toward the plain below.
An Ar Rayāyinah map poster shows a mountain town with an open, scattered pattern. The roads, the settlement clusters and the empty land between them give the map a sparse, balanced composition that reflects the character of the Nafusa uplands.
The town spreads across high ground in several clusters, linked by roads rather than forming a single dense centre.
The land drops sharply toward the coastal plain, creating a natural boundary that defines the shape of settlement in the region.
Dry valleys cut across the plateau, adding faint branching patterns to the map around the town.
