Te mapa
Bagneux lies just south of Paris in the Hauts-de-Seine, a few kilometres beyond the Périphérique. Its map mixes several eras of the Paris suburbs: an old village core with irregular streets, large postwar housing estates with long blocks and open spaces, and newer developments near its transport hubs. The land slopes gently, and many streets curve with it rather than following a strict grid.
The most recognisable shape on the map is the Cimetière parisien de Bagneux, one of the large cemeteries built by the City of Paris outside its limits, laid out in long, straight avenues. In 2022 metro line 4 was extended to Bagneux, giving the town a direct line into central Paris, and further lines of the Grand Paris Express are planned to meet there.
A Bagneux map poster shows a suburb in the middle of a long transformation. The rigid cemetery layout sits beside winding residential streets, and the new transport links are pulling the town closer to the city. In monochrome, those layers of history read clearly, and the density of the inner suburbs gives the whole sheet a rich, even texture.
The large cemetery owned by the City of Paris forms a regular grid of straight avenues, the most geometric area on the map and instantly recognisable.
Around the historic centre, streets are narrower and less regular, a remnant of the village that existed long before the suburbs grew around it.
The extension of line 4 ends in Bagneux, linking this southern suburb directly to Montparnasse, Châtelet and the north of Paris.

Koteā ko Bagneux
Bagneux is a good choice for Parisians who live beyond the Périphérique and want a map of their own town rather than the usual Eiffel Tower view. It also marks a new apartment near the recently extended metro well.
