From above, Bartlett is a pattern of curving streets and cul-de-sacs set between a handful of long arterial roads. There is no dense old grid at the centre; the town grew mostly as a suburb, and its map reflects that. Parks, school grounds and patches of woodland appear throughout, and small creeks leave thin green lines through the neighbourhoods.
Bartlett is a city in Shelby County, Tennessee, on the northeastern edge of the Memphis area. It began as a small railroad community and grew rapidly in the late twentieth century as Memphis expanded. Today it is one of the larger suburbs in the region, largely residential, with parks and schools spread across the city.
