Te mapa
Broken Arrow lies southeast of Tulsa, and its map is shaped by the square-mile grid of section-line roads that covers much of the American plains. Long, straight arterials run north–south and east–west at regular intervals, dividing the city into large squares, each filled with its own subdivision.
Inside those squares, the pattern changes completely. Residential streets curve, loop and end in cul-de-sacs, so every section has its own small maze of lines. Expressways cut across the grid at angles, and small lakes and creeks add a few irregular shapes to an otherwise highly ordered composition.
The city takes its name from a Muscogee (Creek) town, and its older downtown, known as the Rose District, keeps a compact street pattern along its main street. A Broken Arrow map poster captures the contrast between that historic core, the vast arterial grid and the curving suburbs in between.
Arterial roads spaced a mile apart form a large, regular grid across the city, giving the map a strong underlying structure.
Within each square, residential streets loop and branch into cul-de-sacs, creating a dense, varied texture of curves inside the straight grid.
The historic downtown has a small, tight grid of blocks around its main street, standing out as the oldest and most compact part of the map.

Koteā ko Broken Arrow
Broken Arrow's pattern of grid and curves makes a surprisingly graphic poster, and many people can trace their own subdivision and school route on it. It works well as a housewarming gift for a new home in the city.
